The house is designed around the needs of two young couples who wanted a contemporary house that was practical. There was a great need to have distinctive private spaces for each of the families in combination with ones that would be shared by both.

The house is an inward looking with ample greenery, a small waterbody and skylights letting the sun creating ever-changing patterns on walls.

The house unfolds around the central courtyard with the puja opening into it. The courtyard and the split-level design helped in demarcating the private and shared spaces distinctively.
